Qadree Holmes Talks Super Bowl Spots with SCREEN
What were your favorite spots from the advertising extravaganza that is the Super Bowl? How about your least favorite? Let’s see how your answers line up with what Quriosity Founder and Executive Producer Qadree Holmes had to say about the great and not-so-great offerings from Sunday night…
SCREEN: What was your favorite spot of the night?
QADREE: I enjoyed the NFL piece. It felt fully integrated with the Super Bowl as a whole. It targeted a strong sense of diversity and the media placement of the ad was perfect. It made me want to learn more about the spot and the journey of the young man featured in it.
SCREEN: What was your least favorite spot of the night or a spot you felt could have been more successful?
QADREE: Trump ad – I found it to pander to diversity and it felt disconnected. I was more offensive than engaging. However, I’m talking about it so perhaps it may have worked on some people.
SCREEN: What would you like to see more or less of in terms of advertising in next year’s Super Bowl?
QADREE: I’d love to see more cinematic work. Some of the cinematography seemed to lack overall. We’ve got such great technology now and I think we could have done better in this area.
SCREEN: Any final words here, Qadree?
QADREE: I loved the Super Bowl Halftime Show!
