James Rayburn Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
Hulk Hogan, Dave Grohl, and a December dose of Cobra Kai! It’s an entertaining holiday round of Five Questions with SCREEN. This week, we welcome charlieuniformtango Senior Editor and Partner James Rayburn…
SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?
JAMES: I’ve been fortunate to meet many famous people, including Hulk Hogan and Troy Aikman, but I’d probably say the most famous was when I met Dave Grohl. I had the opportunity to interview him for a documentary I edited and produced called “Filmage: The Story of DESCENDENTS / ALL”. Dave is a big fan of punk rock legends the DESCENDENTS. It was an incredible experience and Dave was a class act.
SCREEN: What gift is at the top of your wish list this holiday season?
JAMES: It’s probably a product of being home as much as I have been, but I keep eyeing new power tools that I could use around the house.
SCREEN: If you could be any superhero, who would you be? Why?
JAMES: Let’s go with Flash. It would really help with the daily commute, plus since I pride myself as being efficient, just imagine how many things I could get done!
SCREEN: What has been your favorite “stay-at-home” activity over the past few months?
JAMES: Besides day drinking? Joking aside, I’ve enjoyed the ability to have lunch with my wife more often, as well as being able to get a workout in at random times.
SCREEN: What’s that TV show you’re a little embarrassed to admit you love to watch?
JAMES: Probably Cobra Kai. It’s fairly predictable, and not that well written, but who doesn’t love the delicious taste of nostalgia? Yum!
BONUS QUESTIONS!
SCREEN: If you could appoint ANYONE to be President of the United States, who would it be?
JAMES: Not sure I dislike anyone enough to wish that on them.
SCREEN: Worst job ever?
JAMES: Besides President of the United States?
SCREEN: What’s inspiring you today?
JAMES: I’ve been really inspired lately by the idea of good leadership and healthy work cultures. I’ve enjoyed finding audio books and podcasts that help me grow in that respect.
