Chicago-Based ‘A Series About a Series’ Returns
Sonny Kruger’s Chicago-based web/book series “A Series About A Series” returns with its classic style and charm. The web series came to its conclusion last September with the over-seventy-minute finale. Although a highly satisfying ending to Buck’s journey, fans were happy to get more this year with the release of not one, but two books.
“For me, I felt the story had to continue. We saw Buck, along with his cast and crew, make the pilot to “The Hitman’s Lover”. Now it’s time to see what it’s like making a full series. As I know, it’s not easy and takes a lot of time and sacrifice, but for me, it was all worth it,” said Kruger.
The original story that the web series was based on was finally published so people could own the paperback version of it. Now, they get to enjoy the continuation of the story in “A Series About A Series: Season 2”. Although there are many similarities to the web series, with some episodes having scenes that are word-for-word the same as the book, the book does offer more into the characters and the process of making a pilot in the Chicago indie filmmaking scene. The sequel continues that story, introducing new characters and ones from the web series that weren’t in the first book. Like its predecessor, “A Series About A Series: Season 2” takes on the Dramedy genre head-on, bringing you laughs from its colorful cast of characters, and tackling serious issues like depression and discrimination in the industry and in everyday life.
“A Series About A Series: Season 2” was published this Summer and is sure to shock, amaze, and inspire its readers. Even in book form, it brings the Chicago-style heart and soul, along with its rockin’ soundtrack that fans of the web series and first book have come to love and expect from Kruger’s works. Fans tend to get nervous when something they love returns with a sequel, but Sonny Kruger promises they will love the sequel just as much or possibly more than the original. “A Series About A Series: Season 2” is the story that truly makes “A Series About A Series” complete.
