The World Premiere Is Here for Chicago Indie ‘Room Six’
Room Six, the gritty indie thriller from first-time filmmakers Hobart Miller and Michael Panico, will be the closing night feature for the 15th Annual Grand Rapids Film Festival on Sunday, September 22nd. The World Premiere will kick off a slew of screenings across the Midwest, including the Chicago Horror and Lake County Film Festivals.
Shot in Chicago and produced in collaboration with Mirror Shop Productions and VINCO Creative, the suspenseful film centers around a rural motel clerk whose suspicions are raised by the shady, late night arrival of two brothers. The film stars Mickey O’Sullivan (Chicago P.D.), Sophia Echendu (4400) and Jack Ball (Book of Mormon).
“It’s a really special opportunity to get to share Room Six with the local film communities in our area”, said Co-Director Michael Panico, “We spent a lot of long nights shooting and editing this project in a somewhat isolated way… It’s been amazing to get feedback from other movie lovers and hear what’s resonated with them.”

Co-Director Hobart Miller added, “We’ve put in so much time with the film ourselves, it’s easy to forget that the whole point of creating something like this is the impact it has on an audience when it’s up on the big screen. The response has been really exciting.”
