What to Expect from the Season Premieres of ‘Chicago Fire’ ‘Chicago Med’ ‘Chicago PD’

The long-awaited season premiere is here. The Dick Wolf triumvirate of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD returns with brand new episodes this Wednesday, January 17th.

So what can you expect from this trio of Windy City heroes this Wednesday night? Here is a quick rundown of the new episodes set to premiere.

Chicago Med Opens the Night at 7 p.m. Central

“Row Row Row Your Boat on a Rocky Sea” is the title of the new episode of Chicago Med, set to debut Wednesday at 7 p.m. Central, to kick off the highly popular #OneChicago lineup. Here’s the official synopsis: When the E.D. is flooded with patients from a crash, the entire team is pulled in to help; Charles can’t shake the feeling that he knows the new E.D. attending; Archer has second thoughts on the eve of his kidney transplant.

New Episode for Ratings King Chicago Fire

Here’s the official synopsis for Wednesday night’s new episode of Chicago Fire at 8 p.m. Central, entitled “Barely Gone”… Firehouse 51 is forced to share space with Firehouse 17; Kidd and Herrmann fight over Ritter; an arson case tests Kidd and Severide’s relationship; Firehouse 51 says goodbye to one of its own.

Closing the #OneChicago Night is Chicago PD

OneChicago Wednesday wraps up with the 9 p.m. Central brand new episode of Chicago P.D. Here’s the official synopsis of “Unpacking”: Tasked with shadowing a crisis prevention team, Upton finds her approach to policing at odds with the team’s mental health clinician; Voight stands by Upton as she continues to struggle in her personal life.

And what will become of fan favorite Tracey Upton? SCREEN’s Genna Mark sat down with Eriq La Salle, who has executive produced many an episode of Chicago PD, for his exclusive take.
