‘The Bear’ Season 4 Will Film in Chicago in Early 2025

Back in March, SCREEN was first to report that FX smash hit The Bear was actually filming two seasons – Season Three and Season Four – in tandem this past Spring. This surprising news led to quite a bit of speculation as to the fate of Season Four. And it sparked the all-important question: Will there be any filming of The Bear in Chicago in 2025, or is Season Four fully wrapped?

Sources tell SCREEN that filming of The Bear Season Four is only partially completed and that the wildly popular FX series will indeed be back in Chicago filming in early 2025. It is believed that around half of Season Four is left to shoot, and sources tell SCREEN that filming is expected in the February to May range next year. Of course, all dates are speculative at this point and there are many more updates ahead for the highly anticipated Season Four.

Season Four of The Bear is expected to premiere in June of 2025.

A Look at Season Three… and Another Treasure Trove of Award Noms

The filmed-in-Chicago sensation Season 3 premiered in June on Hulu. All three seasons are now streaming on Hulu and you can click right here to enjoy them.

Returning alongside Golden Globe winners Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri were Abby Elliott, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon returning in their recurring roles as Uncle Jimmy and Claire, respectively.

Here’s the trailer for Season 3 to whet your appetite…

“The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who serves as Executive Producer alongside Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson and Hiro Murai. Courtney Storer serves as a Co-Executive Producer and Culinary Producer. Chicago’s Carrie Holt de Lama is a Co-Producer on the series and casting is led by Chicago’s PR Casting, which nabbed the Emmy for last season, alongside fellow casting director Jeanie Bacharach.

And the Emmy nominations are pouring in once again for the show. As fans of the show know, The Bear notched a record-breaking 23 Emmy nominations, setting a new high for the most nominations in a single year for a comedy series. The 2024 Emmys are set to take place on Sunday, September 15, at 7 p.m. CST.

Til then, the first three seasons of “The Bear” are now streaming on Hulu.
