More accolades for the Chicago television community… and this time it’s behind the camera, not in front of it. The Bear Director of Photography and DePaul University alum Andrew Wehde is nominated in the Half-Hour Episodic category.

What’s Next for The Bear

The show has been renewed for Season Three, as expected, and will begin filming in early 2024. The critically acclaimed and prodigiously nominated Season Two in Chicago premiered this past June, after filming in the Spring.

If you’re just arriving at the dinner table, here’s the trailer for Season Two…

The Bear was created by Christopher Storer (Ramy) and follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships.

And if you’re late to the feast, don’t sweat it. All episodes from the first two seasons of “The Bear” are now available on Hulu. Click here to enjoy the first and second seasons.
