Senior Producer Margie Ayala of Quriosity Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
What do hot yoga sessions with Slash (yes, the guitar legend Slash), loving Star Wars, and completing FOUR triathlons have in common? They’re all right here as Quriosity Senior Producer Margie Ayala stops by for a thoroughly entertaining round of Five Questions with SCREEN. Let’s get to it!
SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?
MARGIE: I have met a lot of famous people as a globetrotting producer, but my FAVORITE was Slash. I went to a Guns N Roses concert on a Saturday night and the next day I went to morning hot yoga and Slash was there! He was super cool and down to earth (and flexible!) and he hung out with us a little after the class… it was a great moment.
Turn it up to eleven for this epic performance from Slash…
SCREEN: Strangest job ever?
MARGIE: My very first job was as a server at Sonic in Texas… I had to wear roller skates. It didn’t end well.
SCREEN: Well, on that note, Margie, what is your greatest athletic achievement?
MARGIE: I have completed four triathlons. Would love to do more, but training is very time intensive and my knees are shot 🙂
SCREEN: Your favorite commercial ever?
MARGIE: Oh wow… so many favorites. It would have to be the “Force” Volkswagen commercial that came out many years ago. Being a Star Wars fan makes me a little biased, but you can’t deny that the commercial was very funny, nostalgic and just darn cute!
Great pick, Margie! Here is that super-cute commercial for everyone’s viewing pleasure…
SCREEN: One restaurant, one meal, anywhere in the world, and we’re buying. What will it be?
Albondigas at the Grasshopper in Amsterdam. They are off menu … so you have to ask the chef to make it special 🙂
BONUS QUESTION!
SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?
MARGIE: You never know what someone else is going through in life. Treat people kindly and with respect until they give you a reason not to.
