The Super Bowl was a big night for Cutters Editor Tim LoDolce, who cut a popular spot for Rocket Mortgage. So what did Tim think of the rest of the Super Bowl advertising lineup? Let's find out!

SCREEN: What was your favorite spot of the night?
TIM: Well...the two Rocket Mortgage commercials have a special place in my heart for obvious reasons. I also really enjoyed the Jimmy’s John’s commercial (long form online was even better!). Doritos, Tide and Uber Eats were very good. Loved that Tide used the song that used to play on George Constanza’s answering machine.

SCREEN: What was your least favorite spot of the night or a spot you felt could have been more successful?
TIM: The Cheetos spot was a little off for me. One of those times where a spot had a teaser that was done better than the actual commercial. Felt like a spoof of a spoof that unfortunately missed the mark.
SCREEN: What would you like to see more or less of in terms of advertising in next year's Super Bowl?
TIM: Keep the comedy coming! I hope that brands continue to push the boundaries and go for the laughs. The Super Bowl is typically a fun party atmosphere and fun to comment and laugh during the commercials.
SCREEN: Any final words here, Tim?
TIM: All in all, a great batch of super bowl spots! Even if the spots fell flat, it was fun to see brands getting big celebrities and the creative getting pushed farther than normal.
