Starring Jackson Rathbone (TWILIGHT), Andrea Londo (NARCOS), Chicago stage and screen stalwart Tony Fitzpatrick (PATRIOT) and TWIN PEAKS great Wendy Robie, DREAMING GRAND AVENUE is a journey through unresolved losses and haunted pasts to uncover the potential of dreams yet to be realized. Though they’ve never crossed paths in waking life, Maggie (Andrea Londo) and Jimmy (Jackson Rathbone) keep meeting in dreams, a subconscious realm that both mystifies and confounds. Each recently devastated by loss and struggling to find meaning in any of it, fate has undeniably tied the two dreamers together in ways they don’t yet comprehend. Set in Chicago, a city as magical as any dreamscape and teeming with collective memories, tragedies, hopes and desires, these unresolved traumas—both individual and shared—are no longer wounds to be endured silently, asleep or awake.
Filmed entirely in Chicago, DREAMING GRAND AVENUE was written and directed by Hugh Schulze and produced by NewCity's Chicago Film Project, headed by Jan and Brian Hieggelke. Cinematographer Christopher Rejano, Production Designer Adri Siriwatt, Editor Joseph Rabig, and Musician Seth Boustead round out the team. This feature marks the third production for Hieggelke's Chicago Film Project, following festival darlings SIGNATURE MOVE and KNIVES AND SKIN.
