Schafer Condon Carter Wins Regional Emmy for PSA Highlighting Humanly’s Mission to Transform Homeless Support
A prestigious win for a critical and meaningful mission. Chicago creative agency Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) has earned a 2024 Regional Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in Public Service Announcement (PSA). The award-winning campaign, Humanly – Doing Everything Humanly Possible, was created for Humanly™, a new nonprofit focused on transforming the financial model of support for people experiencing homelessness.
Let’s take a look at the award-winning PSA spot…
Launched on World Homeless Day in 2023, Humanly™ aims to transform the distribution of aid by utilizing an online crowdfunding model. Contributions are directed to accredited social services organizations in Chicago, where caseworkers decide how funds can best support those at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. The PSA captures the essence of Humanly™’s mission—emphasizing the importance of community-driven, flexible support in delivering resources to those who need them most.
“We’re honored to be recognized with this Emmy Award for a campaign that is deeply meaningful to our agency team,” saidBen Behrman, CEO and President of SCC. “Humanly™ is dedicated to creating lasting change in Chicago, and this recognition emphasizes the importance of innovative solutions to address homelessness.”
“With Humanly™, we wanted to create more than awareness; the goal was to ignite a sense of shared responsibility in our community through raw emotion. This Emmy Award is a testament to the power of storytelling to drive empathy followed by real action,” said Craig Miller, Chief Creative Officer at SCC. “Our work with Humanly™ demonstrates how creativity can amplify vital missions and inspire positive community impact.”
The Emmy® award further affirms SCC’s dedication to purposeful storytelling and its commitment to creating campaigns that extend beyond marketing, fostering tangible change in the communities they serve.
