‘Room Tone’ World Premiere Set for Dances With Films at the Chinese Theatre in LA

Daily Planet Productions’ latest short film, Room Tone, will make its World Premiere at the Dances With Films Independent Film Festival in Hollywood on June 24th. “Everyone that has ever been on set has experienced the awkwardness of room tone, so I decided to take it a step further, said Michael Gabriele, the film’s director. “I’ve always had a deep respect for the horror genre and I think comedy is a great complement to that.”

Room Tone follows the story of a field sound guy who is struggling to do his job on a film set as no one is following his instructions. Frustrated, he decides to take matters into his own hands, leading to a comedic and chaotic turn of events.

Starring a talented cast including Mickey O’Sullivan (Chicago PD, the Chi) as the sound guy, alongside supporting actors Angela Aiello, LaShon Barton, Jay Cabrera, Jeff Zarinelli and Danny Rhodes, “Room Tone promises to bring a fresh and entertaining take on the challenges of working on a film set. “This is going to be a real crowd pleaser,” said Producer Amy Stewart. “We took all of the sensibilities we have gained over the years from creating commercials and put it into this film.”

“We are thrilled to be premiering at the Dances With Films Independent Film Festival and showcase Room Tone to a wider audience,” said Executive Producer Scott Marvel. “We hope that people will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Room Tone will premiere at the Dances With Films Independent Film Festival on June 24th, 2023, at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood. For more information about the festival and tickets, visit the Dances With Films website.
