Robert Pattinson and ‘The Batman’ Poised for Record Box Office Bash This Weekend

The long-awaited BATMAN blockbuster is finally here. Reviews have been stellar, and audiences are ready to return to Gotham this weekend. SCREEN has a collection of the latest BATMAN teasers, a new Vanity Fair interview with Robert Pattinson and his fellow stars, and a rundown of the Chicago connections within the movie.

Chicago Shooting of The Batman

Director Matt Reeves and his team filmed in Chicago this past October. Those days consisted of two full weekends, beginning on October 16, 17, 18, then finishing up on October 24 and 25. Filming took place mostly in downtown Chicago, capturing some action-packed scenes with extensive driving sequences and a massive number of cameras in play. While a relatively brief shoot, THE BATMAN offered a large-scale production that employed plenty of Chicago and Illinois professionals.

In this latest DC iteration, Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.

Cast of The Batman is led by Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright and Paul Dano.
