Acclaimed Artist Ringo Returns to Chicago for Anime Midwest, Bringing Exclusive Sports Collection to the Plate

The Chicago area is getting a healthy dose of cozy vibes this weekend. Popular illustrator Ringo is officially returning to town for Anime Midwest, taking place July 3–5 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Known for her “slice-of-life” inspired aesthetic, Ringo is bringing her signature delicate style back to one of the region’s biggest celebrations of anime culture.

In a world that usually moves a mile a minute, Ringo’s art is an invitation to hit the brakes. Her work focuses on the quiet, comforting energy found in anime and the simple beauty of everyday life. Whether it’s a soft landscape or a peaceful moment between characters, her goal is to help people find magic in the small stuff.

“Rooted in my passion for slow living, the warmth of slice-of-life anime, and the profound beauty of the world, I create delicate anime-inspired art that celebrates simple pleasures and the wonders surrounding us,” Ringo shared with SCREEN. “I aspire to spark joy in others and urge them to discover delight in the minutiae and the big picture. With creativity and a desire to inspire happiness, amazing things can happen.”
