Quriosity Productions is always celebrating and amplifying black excellence in advertising, and their latest event is a tribute to that mission. The company, led by founder and executive producer Qadree Holmes, hosted a Happy Hour this past Thursday, February 16th, following FCB “The Creator’s Showcase” earlier that day. Quriosity directors Sheldon Candis and Korey Miller traveled to Chicago for the full slate of festivities.
The Happy Hour took place at 80 Proof in the Old Town neighborhood, at 1500 North Wells, inviting Chicago agencies to come out and meet Sheldon & Korey. FCB folks stopped by after their FCB Creator’s Showcase, as well as many others from OKRP, Edelman, Havas, Abelson Taylor, Whirlpool, Ogilvy, DDB, Kraft Heinz, and more.
FCB Chicago’s Successful Creators Showcase Shines a Light
As for the The Creators Showcase hosted by FCB Chicago, this event came to life as a curation of Black artistry to inspire, honor, bring forth change, and increase cultural awareness within our agency. The intent of this event was twofold. The effort aims to create a more equitable workplace by striving to increase cultural competence while lifting the Black community by connecting colleagues with exceptional talent and resources for future work. The event featured pieces of creative work from Black Directors, including Quriosity directors Sheldon Candis and Korey Miller, in their gallery.
