OneChicago Is Back! New Episodes Premiering, New Episodes Filming
Fresh off the winter holiday break, the #OneChicago triumvirate of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med are back for their midseason premiere tonight. And all three shows are also back on set filming episodes in and around the Chicago metro area. Sources tell SCREEN there has been a slight bump in the road for one of the sets, and production has briefly paused. Let’s take a look at the latest…
Filming Underway for All Three Shows; Chicago Fire Pauses Production Due to COVID
All three Dick Wolf dramas are back to filming this week, with Chicago Med filming in the Windy City’s Bucktown neighborhood, and Chicago PD shooting near the South Loop district downtown. Unfortunately, sources tell SCREEN production on Chicago Fire has been paused for some or all of this week, starting today, due to COVID-19. This pause is expected to be brief, and Firehouse 51 should be up and running again within days as opposed to weeks.
On to tonight’s midseason premiere lineup!
Leading Off the Night… Chicago Med
Opening the highly anticipated trio of new episodes on NBC tonight is Chicago Med at 7 p.m. Central. The medical drama is back after its holiday hiatus and will be dealing with the fallout of the Vas-COM scandal involving Goodwin (S. Empatha Merkerson) and Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).
The official synopsis declares “In the aftermath of the Vas-COM scandal, Goodwin clashes with the hospital’s new compliance officer; Marcel and Blake try to save a patient who has a son with severe autism; a patient’s son lies to his father about his diagnosis.”
