One Chicago Crossover Filming This Week

A crossover event is coming for Chicago P.D., Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, and it’s filming in Chicago this week. The event marks the first time the trio of shows are having a crossover in over five years. The storyline reportedly centers on a massive explosion in an office building that draws in the police department, the fire department and the hospital in Chicago.

This crossover promises to be one of the Dick Wolf triumvirate’s most ambitious productions to date. One source declared very simply to SCREEN, “This is gonna be a big one.”

And the shows are filming their respective shares of the crossover this week, with Chicago PD hard at work in neighborhoods near 39th and Canal, and Chicago Fire near 15th Street and Clark, according to our friends at Filming In Chicago.

The crossover event has not been given a specific release date, but multiple sources have confirmed it will take place at some point during the current season, likely in early 2025.

The last time all three shows crossed over was in 2019, and saw the units come together when a deadly bacteria was spreading in Chicago. There have also been crossover episodes in 2016 and 2018.
