McKenzie Chinn, IFA Chicago, SAG-AFTRA Team Up for Table Read of ‘A Real One’

IFA Chicago, in partnership with SAG-AFTRA, assembled a superb cast and capacity crowd for a table read of the feature film script, A Real One, by writer, director and Sundance fellow McKenzie Chinn. The event took place at the SAG-AFTRA Chicago offices at 1 East Erie on Monday, July 24th.

About the Script: They’re 17 and live on Chicago’s largely Black south side. Their friendship is tested when Lauren reveals a tightly-held secret to Keisha, and the two friends must take matters into their own hands in a landscape where the only thing they can truly count on is each other.
