Made-In-Chicago ‘Deli Boys’ Renewed For Season 2; Filming May Begin in December; Fred Armisen Joins Cast
More great news for Chicago heading into the home stretch of 2025, looking ahead to a busy 2026. Deli Boys has been renewed for a second season by Hulu. The new season will add Fred Armisen as a series regular alongside returning cast members Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, and Poorna Jagannathan. Sources tell SCREEN filming could begin as early as December, though all production dates and details are speculative at this point, with more specific updates expected soon.
Armisen will play a legendary gambling savant with an uncanny ability to read people like cards in the half-hour series, according to Deadline. His casino empire is global, but his crown jewel is in Philly. He is uniquely brilliant and deeply unhinged — a deadly combo if you cross him.

Deli Boys was created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions. Michelle Nader will return as showrunner and executive producer of Season 2. She will EP alongside Saeed, Konner, and Silver. Nisha Ganatra served as executive producer and director of the pilot. 20th Television produces the comedy series.
