Lindsay Tyler Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
Lindsay Tyler has been a mainstay in the Chicago advertising community for over two decades, with tenures at FCB Chicago and Havas. Lindsay recently joined the team at Whirlpool as Executive Producer and was kind enough to stop by SCREEN for a thoroughly entertaining round of Five Questions. Let’s get to it!
SCREEN: What’s that TV show you’re a little embarrassed to admit you love to watch?
LINDSAY: I’m about 20 years in on The Bachelor franchise – and I am definitely there for the wrong reasons (get it, Bachelor-nation?). I feel bad about myself every time I watch, like eating a whole tub of ice cream in one sitting-level shame.
[Editor’s Note: Let’s all grab our ice cream and enjoy these top five Bachelor moments together…]
SCREEN: Summer is right around the corner so we have to ask… what was your best Summer Vacation Ever?
LINDSAY: A few years ago I took myself to London, Dubrovnik, and Paris. It was glorious. Just to pick a spot on the other side of each city and wander there stopping whenever I felt like a glass of Sancerre and some escargot or to run into a museum or jump in the sea… it was a dream vacation.
SCREEN: If you could be the host of any game show in television history, what would it be?
LINDSAY: *IF* I get to choose my own Vanna, I would definitely say Wheel of Fortune (do the kids call it The Wheel?). I’d start Vanna auditions next week. I’d also insist on one of those tall, skinny, Bob Barker-style mics.
[Editor’s Note: Ok Lindsay, here are some epic highlights from “The Wheel” for you!]
SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?
LINDSAY: I worked at People Magazine for 10 years as a celeb shoot producer, sooooo lots. (That is not a humble brag, that job was wild!) Justin Timberlake and Bret Michaels were definitely faves.
SCREEN: Your favorite commercial ever?
LINDSAY: I wish I produced this. The drama, the tiger sounds, the slow-motion running- it’s got everything…
BONUS QUESTIONS!
SCREEN: One meal, one restaurant, and we’re buying. What will it be?
LINDSAY: I recently did Next and it was the best experience! A mix of a bit of theater and education and the best food you’ve ever had at once- I loved it.
SCREEN: Your go-to karaoke song?
LINDSAY: Song or repertoire? I begin with “Part of Your World”, throw in some 4-Non Blondes, and maybe go out with some Lilith Fair throwbacks. My Disney Princess-prowess is strong- some would say legendary.
SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?
LINDSAY: Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries- I can’t take care of anyone else if I’m not taking care of myself. (Ask me how often I forget though)
