Laughlin Constable Launches ‘Savor Summerhood’ Campaign for QuikTrip

QuikTrip’s new campaign, ‘Savor Summerhood,’ created in partnership with its newly appointed creative and media agency of record, Laughlin Constable, positions the brand as a central character in the fleeting moments that make summer feel special as opposed to a transactional pit stop.

QSR marketing has traditionally focused on speed, price, and promotion. But for many consumers, especially during summer, QSR and convenience stores play a far more impactful role in everyday life.

The campaign is rooted in a simple cultural truth: people wait all year for summer, and the pressure to make the most of it can feel surprisingly real. Four 30-second spots comprise the campaign: ‘Lunch Break’, ‘Sandwich Break’, ‘Hose’, and ‘Skaters’.

Each one shows and celebrates the often overlooked joy that comes with savouring summer through a calm break in daily routine.

Rather than glamorising aspirational lifestyles, the work celebrates deeply recognisable moments of everyday summer life: lunch breaks in the sun, skating with friends, backyard hangs, and quick pauses between long workdays.

The platform positions QuikTrip as the brand helping remove friction from those moments. From self-serve drinks and made-to-order sandwiches to fast, friendly service, QuikTrip becomes the “special sauce” helping consumers savour summer while it lasts.

“Summer is made up of small moments that people genuinely look forward to all year long,” said Dawn Deal, Head of Marketing for QuikTrip. “Customers are consistently tagging us as they share their everyday lives and special celebrations with friends and family. Many of the ideas for these spots and supporting social creative came from them – whether it was a shared memory from their youth of a cold Freezoni on a hot day, or a pit stop for a Big Q after the game-winning homerun. QuikTrip has been a part of many of our customers’ summers and this campaign is a nod to those everyday moments. Laughlin Constable understood from the beginning that this wasn’t just about convenience and speed, it was about capturing the feeling of summer and the role QuikTrip can play in helping people stop and savor it.”

“The best summer memories are rarely grand or polished,” said Jon Laughlin, chief creative officer of Laughlin Constable. “They’re usually simple moments with friends, family, food, music, sunshine, and spontaneity. We wanted QuikTrip to feel naturally woven into that experience. Shooting the spots on film was the extra touch needed to capture the warmth, texture, and nostalgia of summer in a way that felt honest and emotionally lived-in.”
