International Screenwriters’ Association To Present Virtual Table Read of Grand Prize Winning Script, Directed by Emmy Award Winner Mary Lou Belli
Join the International Screenwriters’ Association on August 13th for a virtual table read of the Grand Prize-winning script for the 2021 Table Read My Screenplay Competition: The Surveillance of Ordinary Things by Susan Brunig.
This script is a fun and heartwarming story of a middle-aged, suburban housewife who decides to run away and end it all until she stumbles upon an unplugged community of creative misfits and rediscovers the artist she once was. The table read will be directed by two-time Emmy award-winner Mary Lou Belli (NCIS: New Orleans, Dynasty). The cast includes Christopher Ammaneul (Black Lightning), Kevin Brief (Criminal Minds), Bob McCracken (Sons of Anarchy), Gilli Messer (Jessie), Jeanette O’Connor (Baskets) and Suanne Spoke (Whiplash).
Brunig’s contest win comes after studying experimental film at Binghamton University and working in post-production at Pixar. Focusing primarily on female-driven indie dramas, she was the winner of the Cinestory Fellowship and the Drama Category Winner of the Final Draft Big Break Screenplay Competition. The ISA is excited to bring her latest project to life, and the reading will be followed by a Q&A with Brunig, director Mary Lou Belli and ISA’s VP of Development, Felicity Wren.
Sponsored by The Wrap, Script Studio, ScreenwriteNOW, and CreatorsVault.com, this event is free to attend, and reservations can be made on the ISA’s website. For more information and to register, please click here.
