Highdive Creative Director Katie Bero Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
What do a canceled Fox TV show, an epic trip to Bali, and the best cheeseburger ever have in common? They’re all right here as Creative Director Katie Bero of the Emmy-winning Chicago agency Highdive Stopped by for a thoroughly entertaining round of Five Questions with SCREEN. Let’s get to it!
SCREEN: Ok Katie, If you could bring back any TV show, what would it be?
KATIE: The Mick. If you’ve never seen it I highly recommend. And if Kaitlin Olson is reading this (she’s not)… I love you. You’re a comedy goddess.
And here are a few highlights from the dearly departed Fox sitcom…
SCREEN: Summer is here so we gotta ask… Best Summer Vacation Ever?
KATIE: Bali. It really opened my eyes to the fact that if I’m bad at yoga in America, I will still be bad at it in Bali. The food was great though and the people and scenery are incredible.
SCREEN: Worst job ever?
KATIE: Waitress at a sushi restaurant. At the time, I’d never eaten sushi so I would describe it to customers as “the pink one, the white one, and rice.” I wasn’t wrong, but I wasn’t right. And I should’ve been fired.
SCREEN: Your favorite commercial ever?
KATIE: Berlitz Language German Coast Guard. If that doesn’t tell you how old I am, nothing will. Except my birth certificate. It’ll tell you.
Ok Katie, here goes… Enjoy this classic commercial!
SCREEN: Your favorite gadget?
KATIE: Airpods. I’ve pretty much got music on all the time unless I’m on a work call. Then I’ve got a work call on, but I’m hands free so I’m able to crochet while we discuss the ins and outs of advertising.
BONUS QUESTIONS!
SCREEN: Your favorite restaurant on the planet? What do we order when we go?
KATIE: Small Cheval. Double cheeseburger and fries with aioli. I tried to order tacos once and they were like, “Ma’am, this is a burger place.” That didn’t happen. I don’t even know why I said that. Next question!
SCREEN: If you could fix one thing, what would you fix?
KATIE: My quip toothbrush. It never works. I love it in theory but hate it in practice.
SCREEN: You can only be a fan of one sports team. Which one and why?
KATIE: The 1999 Women’s US National Soccer Team because they are legends.
Yes they are, Katie! Here are the highlights, just for you…
