“Shedd Aquarium is a beloved part of Chicago and it has great exhibitions. We’re excited to bring this iconic aquarium to millions of GoTraveler viewers worldwide,” said Ksenia Ivanova, Director of AmbienceTV Shedd Aquarium: Wild Reef, “Because of the work they do at the aquarium, we can better understand the importance of the ocean. The ocean plays a key role in the life of our planet. Through AmbienceTV, the way we filmed it, it’s a pure experience of feeling like you’re underwater snorkeling and observing the beauty of the ocean.”
In AmbienceTV Shedd Aquarium: Wild Reef, the aquarium is home to sharks (specifically, Sandbar and Zebra sharks), rays, corals and reef fishes. Wild Reef brings together remarkable ocean life in constant motion, immersing you in a living reef along the Philippines.
AmbienceTV was born in 2019 and is part of GoTraveler. Since then, the series has included historic sites in Chicago such as the Chicago Riverwalk, Lake Michigan, Ping Tom Park, and Lincoln Park North Pond. It’s also filmed in Europe and Canada. New content is being filmed at more exciting locations in the U.S. and around the world.

“Partnering with GoTraveler allows awe-seekers and wanderlusters the opportunity to peek beneath the water’s surface with the click of a button,” said Andrea Rodgers, senior vice president of external affairs and marketing at Shedd Aquarium. “Looking nature in the eye has never been more necessary or powerful. In an increasingly urbanized world, greater opportunity must exist to offer the incredible aquatic animal world to anyone in ways that are unbound by geography, barriers or abilities. We’re thrilled to be able to share a small portion of the curiosity and compassion that our guests experience onsite at the aquarium every day.”
