FX Pilot ‘Me We’ Filming in Chicago in April

FX filmed a pilot in Chicago in 2021 and wound up with a smash hit TV show. So why not try that plan again in 2023? Fresh off the critical acclaim and awards haul of The Bear, FX is bringing its next promising pilot to Chicago. Sources tell SCREEN the pilot is entitled Me We and filming will begin in the Windy City on April 17th.

Some great news for the Illinois television production community as it looks ahead to Spring, and a promising potential new franchise for you to add to your radar.

So what is Me We all about? Who’s directing, starring, producing? These are all great questions, and we expect to have answers for you here at SCREEN later this month. For now, we can confirm the We, Me start date of April 17th and that it will undoubtedly be filming in Chicago.

And as for that other FX series in town…

Yes Chef! FX Series The Bear Now Filming S2 in Chicago… and the Awards Keep Piling Up!

As we await further details on the Me We pilot, let’s give a quick update on that other FX series in the city. FX’s flagship series in Chicago, The Bear, is now a few weeks into filming.

The Bear is expected to wrap on or near April 28th. The season order has been upped from eight episodes to ten.

What a year it has been for The Bear so far, and the awards parade continued this past weekend. The Bear won the Independent Spirit Award for Best New Scripted Series and Ayo Edibiri earned the trophy for Best Supporting Actor this past weekend on March 4th.

Earlier this awards season, lead actor Jeremy Allen White brought home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy, followed by a slew of other wins and nominations for White and his fellow cast and crew, including a victory at the Critics Choice Awards.
