Five Questions with SCREEN: Grey Midwest Group Creative Director Brooke Anderson

What do Sofia Vergara, Table Mountain in Cape Town, and your 401k have in common? They’re all right here as Group Creative Director Brooke Anderson of Cincinnati-based Grey Midwest stops by for a thoroughly entertaining round of Five Questions with SCREEN. Let’s get to it!

SCREEN: Thanks for playing, Brooke! What is your greatest athletic achievement?

BROOKE: Climbing to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town while I was there on production. On Easter morning. Slightly hungover.

And here is the stunning view from that mountaintop… thank you for sharing, Brooke!

SCREEN: What is your greatest fear?

BROOKE: Heights, but specifically heights where I feel like falling is a real possibility. See also: greatest athletic achievement.

SCREEN: Your favorite commercial ever (not produced by you or your team)?

BROOKE: Completely dating myself, but the Sony Bravia ‘Balls’ spot. The cinematography, the music, the simplicity of the idea to drive home a product POD. Just lovely.

SCREEN: What is your most prized possession?

BROOKE: Right now, it’s my collection of hand drawn cards from my nieces and nephew. I stick them in my notebooks and in different places around the house so I’m constantly rediscovering them. See photo for example drawer of adorableness…

SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?

BROOKE: Probably working with Sofia Vergara when Modern Family was still on the air. She was part of a Super Bowl (or should I say, “The Big Game”?) spot we did for P&G.

Here’s a recent chat with the inimitable Sofia…

BONUS QUESTIONS!

SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?

BROOKE: Max out your 401k

SCREEN: What’s that TV show you’re a little embarrassed to admit you love to watch?

Try a lot embarrassed, but Tracker. There’s something nice about a procedural where everything is wrapped up nicely in a bow by the end of each episode.

This one’s for you, Brooke…
