Great filmmaking thrives on collaboration, and that’s exactly what Filmscape Chicago is building on June 27 and 28. This weekend, filmmakers, students, and crew members from across Chicago and the greater Midwest will unite to sharpen their crafts. It’s a completely free weekend of immersive training, networking with future collaborators, and playing with industry-leading gear, all driven by a simple mission: to empower our local creative community.
The 2026 conference returns to its home at CineCity Studios, located at 1414 S Western Avenue. As one of Chicago’s newest and most expansive production hubs, CineCity Studios boasts 140,000 square feet of film production and office space. The facility famously served as the home base for FOX and Disney’s “The Big Leap.”
Since its inception in 2019, Filmscape Chicago has proven to be more than a tradeshow. The event features a massive exhibition floor hosting industry-leading manufacturers, giving attendees a rare, face-to-face opportunity to test the newest equipment and connect directly with the local production companies providing and servicing the gear for the Chicago market.
In addition to the bustling exhibition floor, Filmscape Chicago will host dozens of specialized classes cutting across all creative and technical departments. Taught by seasoned industry professionals, the curriculum ranges from introductory workshops to highly advanced seminars. Classes are designed to provide immediate, actionable skills, covering everything from technique-based instruction to the newest technical innovations reshaping the industry landscape.
