Expert Oscar Predictions from MoviePass Co-Founder Stacy Spikes

It’s time to stack those Oscar predictions ballots for your numerous party pools coming up this Sunday. To help you make some tough decisions, SCREEN’s Genna Mark brought in MoviePass Co-Founder Stacy Spikes to share predictions for the marquee categories for the big night.

The Oscars will be held Sunday, March 12, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony is set to begin at 7 p.m. CST and be broadcast live on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will host for the third time and his first time since 2018.

Ok enough chatter, let’s get to the picks!

The 10 movies competing for best picture are: “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Elvis,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Fabelmans,” “Tár,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Triangle of Sadness,” “Women Talking.”

Presenters include: Halle Bailey, Antonio Banderas, Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Chastain, John Cho, Andrew Garfield, Hugh Grant, Danai Gurira, Salma Hayek Pinault, Nicole Kidman, Florence Pugh and Sigourney Weaver. They join a previously announced group including: Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Jennifer Connelly, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Troy Kotsur, Jonathan Majors, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monáe, Deepika Padukone, Questlove, Zoe Saldaña and Donnie Yen.
