The Whale is a American psychological drama film directed by Aronofsky, from a screenplay written by Samuel D. Hunter. The film stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Samantha Morton, and Ty Simpkins. It tells the story of a 600 lb. man who tries to reconnect with his seventeen-year-old daughter.
The Whale had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival in September, then made its Chicago Premiere this month at CIFF.
