Erick Esteban Premieres New Comedy Special ‘More Miscellaneous’
What better way to kick off the weekend than with some gut-busting laughter? Chicago/LA comedian Erick Esteban a.k.a. Miscellaneous Brown is back with a brand new comedy special entitled MORE MISCELLANEOUS, Filmed over two nights of his first headlining weekend at the Comedyplex in Oak Park, Illinois, Erick goes into brand new material about fatherhood, learning Tagalog, and smoking lots of cannabis.
If you’ve seen Erick’s first special from Four by Three – MISCELLANEOUS BROWN – or even if you’re brand new to the Chicago/LA comedian – you don’t want to miss MORE MISCELLANEOUS.
“My first special [MISCELLANEOUS BROWN] was the culmination of eight years of writing and grinding as I learned standup comedy,” Esteban shared exclusively with SCREEN. “In my new special, MORE MISCELLANEOUS is me putting that experience into practice. There’s a line in the Matrix, ‘There’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.’ This new special is me walking the path.”
MORE MISCELLANEOUS premieres at 7 pm EST tonight, and here is the YouTube link to watch the show and enjoy much-needed laughs heading into the weekend…
Erick’s Chicago roots run deep. The comedian grew up in the city’s Portage Park neighborhood and began his career on stage and screen throughout the city.
“Chicago is my home,” Esteban declared to SCREEN. “I love L.A. but Chicago will always be home. The Chicago Improv/Sketch Comedy/Theatre community of the late 90s gave me the wings to fly. It’s a dream come true that through standup comedy I am able to be able to come home every year and charge my ‘Chicago Batteries'”
Next up, Erick will be back in Chicago headlining at the Comedyplex on July 17th to celebrate the release of the new special and debut some more new material. Click right here to get your tickets.
