Doc Chicago Kicks Off with A Conversation with Kartemquin’s Gordon Quinn
This year’s edition of the free Doc Chicago mini-conference begins Friday with “A Conversation with Gordon Quinn,” featuring filmmaker extraordinaire, fair use advocate, and mentor to numerous other documentarians: Kartemquin Films’ co-founder Gordon Quinn.

Filmmaker and educator Dinesh Sabu (Unbroken Glass) will host this in-depth conversation with Gordon Quinn, which will also include clips from early Kartemquin Films’ documentaries that are rarely screened. The event is on Fri, Nov 3, 7pm, Chicago Cultural Center, Claudia Cassidy Theatre and is free and open to the general public.
Doc Chicago is a free, volunteer-run mini-conference that continues on Saturday, November 4 with documentary-centric panels and talks at the Chicago Cultural Center. Full schedule here
