Cramer-Krasselt VP and Group Creative Director Amy Gozalka Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
What do Eminem, Lassie, and an epic round of Double Dare have in common? They’re all right here as Cramer-Krasselt VP and Group Creative Director Amy Gozalka stops by for a thoroughly entertaining round of Five Questions with SCREEN. Let’s get to it!
SCREEN: Ok Amy, if you could be the host of any game show in television history, what would it be?
AMY: Double Dare. I think it was every kid’s dream to be on that show and go down the sundae slide.
Ok Amy, here is a run down the sundae slide just for you!
SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?
AMY: “Get Nervous”.
We often tell clients that it’s a good sign if an idea makes you nervous. But we also need to make ourselves nervous with the work we’re creating. Safe work doesn’t make you feel, or engage you emotionally. Bolder, braver work makes you turn your head and say to your team “are we really doing this?” with the biggest flock of butterflies in the pit of your stomach and the biggest grin on your face.
SCREEN: Your favorite commercial ever?
AMY: One of my favorites is “Bouncing Balls” from Sony. I’ll never forget when that film came out and marveling in the simplicity of the idea. It’s functional work that lands a key product benefit in an emotional way. It’s beautifully smart and it’s work that I envy to this day.
Great call! Here is that epic piece of creativity for Amy and SCREEN readers to enjoy…
SCREEN: One meal, one restaurant, and we’re buying. What will it be?
AMY: Gorilla Bowl from Makai Sushi in Kauai (found at a little stand inside a supermarket). It’s the best poke you’ll ever have. Grab a bowl and take it to the beach.
SCREEN: If you could play any superhero in a major motion picture, who would it be? Why?
AMY: Lassie, the classic furry superhero. Dogs have all the special powers we as human beings need. I truly hope to come back as a dog in another life.
We can only dream, Amy! Til then, here is a classic episode with your favorite furry friend…
BONUS QUESTIONS!
Your go-to karaoke song?
It’s a toss-up between “Lose Yourself” from Eminem (I’m from Detroit) and “Everlong” from the Foo Fighters (I am a HUGE Foo fan. RIP Taylor).
SCREEN: What’s that TV show you’re a little embarrassed to admit you love to watch?
AMY: The Pioneer Woman (that cheesy cooking show). Every Sunday morning, I drink my coffee, flip between the news and Ree Drummond whipping up something delicious looking. And I don’t even like to cook.
Here are The Pioneer Woman’s Top 10 Recipes, enjoy!
SCREEN: Summer is here so we have to ask… what was your best Summer Vacation Ever?
AMY: Iceland. My husband and I spent 10 days in Iceland and it was one of the wildest trips we’ve ever taken. You have nearly 24 hours of daylight in summer so you’re able to do things whenever you want. We hung out next to whales, hiked without seeing a single person for hours, conquered a glacier, and golfed at the most northern course in the world.
