‘Chicago PD’ Star Patrick Flueger Taking Leave of Absence
Sergeant Voight’s intelligence unit is about to be one man down due to an out of the blue shakeup with one of the Chicago P.D. actors. Patrick Flueger, who plays Officer Adam Ruzek on the drama, is taking a leave of absence due to a “personal matter”. Deadline, who first reported the news, called it “unexpected”.
According to the outlet, scripts for future episodes are “being reworked” to address his absence from the show. Flueger, who is one of the original cast members still around, is expected to return to the drama later this season.

This news comes on the heels of the fourth episodes of the season airing for the all three franchises in the One Chicago universe.
