‘Chicago Med’ Update: A Familiar Fan Favorite Is Returning For Season 11
He’s back!!!! Nick Gehlfuss will return to Chicago Med this season in a guest role, according to Deadline. Nick will be reprising his role as Dr. Will Halstead (aka everyone’s former Chicago PD detective’s brother), but the details are slim.
While it’s unclear how much “Dr Halstead” fans will get this upcoming season and how many episodes he’ll be featured in, we’re banking on him probably doing what he always did best: wreaking a little bit of havoc and getting into it with some of the upper heads of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.
Gehlfuss starred as Dr. Halstead on Med for the show’s first 8 seasons before leaving in May 2023. His character’s exit was left a bit open ended with him leaving the hospital to head to Seattle with his on-screen love interest, Dr. Natalie Manning, who was played by Torrey DeVitto.
Here is a look back at Nick’s exit in 2023…
Season 11 of Chicago Med is now filming and premieres October 1st on NBC.
