‘Chicago Med’ ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago PD’ Renewed for Next Season
It’s the news One Chicago fans love to hear: MORE ONE CHICAGO TV! NBC has picked up all three of the Dick Wolf shows for the 2026-27 TV season. This means Chicago Fire will return for its 15th season, PD for its 14th and Med for Season 12 this upcoming fall TV season.
The announcement comes after a whirlwind of a season for the entire series. The dramas’ big March 4th crossover episode saw viewership rise compared to last season’s. It also reportedly had 75% more traction on social media than the last year’s episodes…
Of course there was an extra touch on this year’s crossover as it saw the return of two of the #OneChicago universe’s favorite characters: Detectives Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton. However, the series has also had its fair share of character shakeups this season. Chicago Fire has seen the departure of Battalion Chief Dom Pascal, who replaced Chief Boden at Firehouse 51. It’s unclear if Pascal’s farewell this season is permanent or not. Meanwhile, Officer Ruzek has missed some of the PD action as actor Patrick John Flueger took a break from filming mid-season for personal reasons.
As for the rest of this season, the crossover episode was followed by one new episode and last week’s reruns. They are set to return with new episodes on Wednesday, April 1.
