Chicago-Made Psychological Horror-Thriller ‘Room Six’ Premieres Nationwide

Chicago-made thriller ROOM SIX debuts across the country tonight, wrapping up an auspicious festival run for first-time filmmakers Hobart Miller and Michael Panico. The suspenseful psychological horror-thriller nabbed Best Chicago Horror Feature and Best Lead Actor Awards at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, as well as the Audience Choice Feature and Best Cinematography Awards at the Grand Rapids Film Festival. And now, you can enjoy the film in the comforts of your own home as ROOM SIX is available to rent or own on all North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms, as of this evening, Friday, May 2.

“ROOM SIX is a gritty thriller that takes place across one eventful night at a rural motel,” say Miller and Panico. “We really wanted to highlight how unresolved trauma can ripple out and affect the individual, as well as those around them. Ultimately, with this film, we wanted to ask what is the point of no return? ”

“We’ve been so excited by the response to this film, especially the recognition that our cast has received, as well as our cinematographer, J.P. O’Rourke,” continued Miller. Panico went on to add that, “The Midwest filmmaking community, especially, has been really welcoming and supportive to us. We can’t wait to finally get to share ROOM SIX nationwide and beyond.”

Shot in Chicago and produced in collaboration with Mirror Shop Productions and VINCO Creative, the suspenseful film centers around a rural motel clerk whose suspicions are raised by the shady, late night arrival of two brothers. The film stars Mickey O’Sullivan (Chicago P.D.), Sophia Echendu (4400) and Jack Ball (Book of Mormon).
