‘Chicago Fire’ ‘Breaking Bad’ Stars Lead ‘The Unseen’ To Dances With Films Premiere

The premiere is here for a Chicago-made thriller. The Unseen will debut at the 26th annual Dances With Films at the historic TCL Chinese Theater on Friday, June 23 at 11:45 pm. Directed by Vincent Shade, the film stars RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Christian Stolte (Chicago Fire), William Mark McCullough (The Walking Dead), Jennifer A. Goodman (Better Call Saul), Sue Cremin (FBI: MOST WANTED), Candice Rose (Stranger Things), Kimberly Michelle Vaughn (Empire), Ava Bianchi, and Rebekah Kennedy (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit). In addition to acting in the film, Goodman wrote and produced The Unseen under her Chicago-based banner Lakefront Pictures alongside Co-Founder Ryan Atkins who also oversaw post-production.

In The Unseen, a law student (Mitte) finds himself losing his mind in a twisted web of murder and deceit brought on by a dark force from his past — an unstoppable supernatural fury hell-bent on achieving its horrific goal.

RJ Mitte, Vincent Shade and Evan J. Cholfin also produced with Goodman and Atkins.

Shade adds, “What fascinates me in The Unseen is the corrosive nature of secrets. We explore this through the tortured turmoil within our protagonist Tommy, portrayed with layered depth by RJ Mitte, and as all our characters uncover dangerous truths. I am truly honored to work with such a dedicated cast and crew, who together as a team, were able to bring that excitement to the screen.”

Goodman said, “As a person on the autism spectrum who has struggled throughout my life, I am honored to be able to bring this film to a large audience, supporting people whose voices may go unheard through my work and to open up peoples’ perspectives to a whole universe of creativity. Having the opportunity to premiere this film in my hometown of Chicago among family and friends is further proof that if you set your mind to something, you can conquer anything!”

In addition to premiering in Los Angeles as part of renowned film festival Dances With Films, the filmmakers are excited to have the premiere for the theatrical release in Chicago on Thursday, June 29 at AMC River East.

Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, has acquired North American rights to the film, which will be released in limited theaters and on demand June 30 and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes and Apple TV. The Coven, international sales agent behind breakout hit Terrifier 2, has acquired the international sales rights.
