Big Wins for Hawkeye Campaign Featuring Travis Kelce at 45th Annual Telly Awards

Hawkeye and Bread Financial were honored with numerous Telly Awards for their outstanding work on the ‘NFL Extra Points’ campaign, featuring NFL greats Travis Kelce and Robert Griffin III (aka RG3). A series of lighthearted stories showcasing the benefits of using the Extra Points credit card were brought to life by Director Greg Popp. His extensive history of creating comedic spots, often featuring sports icons, made him the perfect fit for Kelce and RG3.

Winning Gold in Banking & Financial Services and Silver in both Sports and Celebrities is a testament to the innovative campaign created by Jenn Bell, VP/GCD at Hawkeye and now with Razorfish. She and the Hawkeye team, along with Executive Producer Tom Scudder, presented an ambitious vision that was captured at the legendary Arrowhead Stadium. This drive to elevate the campaign continued into post-production at The Colonie.

Editors Bob Ackerman, Addy Bieniarz and Joe Clear began editing on set in Kansas City and seamlessly transitioned back to work in Chicago. The Colonie VFX team, led by Senior VFX Artist Tom Dernulc, embarked on the process of filling the empty stadium with tens of thousands of fans and players, while the agency and editors tackled the multitude of broadcast and social media deliverables. Additionally, The Colonie motion design team led by Creative Director Jennifer Moody not only developed various transitions into the fantasy sequences but also crafted a beautiful animated end sequence tailored to each of the featured teams.

“It truly was a magnificent team effort,” said Colonie Partner Bob Ackerman. “Greg and SEED were amazing to work with, as was the entire team from Hawkeye. I’m not at all surprised this campaign is being recognized. It deserves it.”
