April Fools’ Day Fun for Old National Bank and Schafer Condon Carter on the Kennedy
Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) and Old National Bank are up to their old tricks. And what better day for it than April Fools’ Day?
The Old National Bank digital billboard on the Kennedy Expressway appeared to be “hacked” during the morning commute, displaying a stark “System Hacked” warning layered over digital static and glitch effects.

Moments later, the message flipped to “April Fools”…

It’s the latest example of how Old National Bank and its ad agency, Schafer Condon Carter, have turned this single billboard into an ongoing, daily conversation with Chicago drivers. As you know, the billboard is updated daily with messages that promote the bank’s businesses, using humor, cultural awareness and timeliness to break through.
Other examples have included messages saluting Chicago’s own Pope Leo and the Chicago Bears playoff game versus the LA Rams.
