Anthony Bourdain Series Heads to Cannes Film Market with Chicago’s Questar and California Pictures
Chicago-based Questar Entertainment is partnering with California Pictures this Spring to bring a large catalog of Questar originals, travel content, and independent films and TV to the 75th Cannes Film Market. Among the titles presented include 2022 new release, The Christmas Pitch, Anthony Bourdain A Cook’s Tour and Top Chef All Star, Rick Bayless’ Mexico One Plate at a Time, which will both be offered for the first time internationally.

As a pioneer in the home video revolution, Questar Entertainment is a 36-year-old global full-service digital, OTT, production, acquisition, and distribution company. After the success of the GoTraveler network, Questar launched two new streaming channels/apps through OTT era in 2021/22, Hipstr and FamilyTime. This past year, Questar Entertainment focused on expanding the production branch of their company. As GoTraveler continues to gain exposure on platforms from Plex, Vizio, and this spring, Sling, they have focused on original content for their North American user-base and growing International one as more OTT platforms move into Europe and South and Central America.

Among the Questar originals include: The Miracle Show inspired by the classic It’s a Miracle, The Christmas Pitch a Christmas rom-com, starring Joseph Morales, who assumed Lin-Manuel Miranda’s role in the hit musical, Hamilton; Wake & Bake with Dom Brown, a reality take on cannabis tourism covering social equity dinners with celebrities and social & political leaders.
