‘Always Sunny’ Writers Rob McElhenney and Keyonna Taylor Lead FX Pilot Filming in Chicago in April
FX is on a roll in Chicago, and it’s looking to continue the hot streak. Fresh off the critical acclaim and awards haul of The Bear, FX is planting its next promising prospect in Chicago. And the network is bringing the best from yet another hit series to pen the script. Two of the writers behind the popular FX series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Keyonna Taylor and Rob McElhenney – have written the pilot, which is entitled MeWe.
Sources tell SCREEN the pilot for MeWe will begin filming in the Windy City on April 16th, shooting for about a week.
Writer Rob McElhenney is best known for his role as Ronald “Mac” McDonald on the FX comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a show he co-created with Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton and on which he continues to serve as an executive producer and writer.
Keyonna Taylor has written several episodes of the always popular Always Sunny. Taylor also collaborated with McElhenney on the Emmy nominated series Mythic Quest.
Taylor and McElhenney will be handing over their screenplay to director Nzingha Stewart…
