New Fox Pilot SINGLE DRUNK FRIEND Shoots in December

More holiday cheer for the Chicago television production industry. Yet another pilot will be filming in the Chicagoland area for what is shaping up to be a busy holiday season, powering into a promising new year. The curiously titled SINGLE DRUNK FRIEND pilot is set to film in Chicago from December 7th through the 16th. Details are just starting to come together for this project, and SCREEN will have them for you as they come available. But for now, here is what we know...

Production Team Taking Shape

The production team for this Fox pilot will be led by veteran Chicago line producer Christina Varotsis. Christina’s recent television productions include the Chicago units for the long-running Showtime Emmy-nominated series SHAMELESS, as well as the CW superhero thriller BATWOMAN. Varotsis has also produced the pilots for Philip K. Dick’s ELECTRIC DREAMS for Sony/Amazon and LOVECRAFT COUNTRY for HBO:

Director of Photography for the SINGLE DRUNK FRIEND pilot will be Brian Burgoyne. Burgoyne is best known for his work as cinematographer of the Oscar-nominated and critically acclaimed comedy THE BIG SICK, starring Kumail Nanjiani. On the television side, Burgoyne mostly recently shot the Lionsgate series for the dearly departed Quibi, SWIMMING WITH SHARKS, starring Kathleen Robertson.
