AICP Midwest Hosts Agency Meeting of the Minds Thursday
May 13, 2020 by Screenmag
It's time to start a dialogue between the production/post community and the agency/advertising community and that is exactly what AICP Midwest and an esteemed ensemble of agency executives will accomplish this Thursday at 3 pm Central. Click here to register for this panel discussion on navigating the road ahead when production resumes.
The panel's roster includes VMLY&R Executive Producer Melissa Barany, mcgarrybowen Chief Creative Officer Kurt Fries, DDB Executive Producer Keith Jamerson, Ogilvy Executive Producer Gayle McCormick, Burrell Communications Creative Director Christine Saldanha, and AllState's Head of Production Steve Ross.
The roundtable will be moderated by AICP Midwest President Lisa Masseur, Executive Producer of Tessa Films, and AICP National Board Member Craig Duncan, Managing Director of Cutters Studios.
"Up until now, we’ve all been in our own silos," Tessa Films Founder Lisa Masseur said in a conversation with SCREEN. "The AICP has zoom calls almost every day with the production and post community about the challenges we’re all facing. Similarly, I know internally at Agencies they are discussing these same issues within their creative and production departments. I think it’s important that we all start to talk about it together. Collaborating to make sure we all understand the challenges and opportunities we’ll have as we all start what I am calling, 'our slow crawl back to normal production' is important."
"I think you nailed it, Lisa," Cutters Managing Director Craig Duncan added. "I agree the main purpose of the webinar is to start a dialogue between the production/post community and the agency/advertising community as to what the production and post-production processes are going to look like as we transition back from lockdown. It is going to be a very different world. I think it’s important that we start to discuss and set realistic expectations. The sooner the better."
