Leo Burnett EVP Sarah Block Answers Five Questions with SCREEN
January 14, 2020 by Screenmag
This week, Leo Burnett Executive Vice President and Creative Director Sarah Block answers Five Questions with SCREEN!
SCREEN: If you were given a one-minute ad slot during the Super Bowl, what would you fill it with?
SARAH: Given some of the political ads that will run this year, and what’s going on in the world, I’d hand my 60 seconds over to Greta Thunberg. The Super Bowl transcends every social bubble.
SCREEN: What actor would play you in the movie of your life? Why?
SARAH: Tina Fey. One, so I could meet her. And two, we both wear glasses.
SCREEN: What's your favorite restaurant? What do we order when we go?
SARAH: A bowl of ramen from Ramen Wasabi is perfect for this weather. If we’re talking any time of the year… then EVERY place that serves a runny egg on top of something else.
SCREEN: If you could appoint ANYONE to be President of the United States, who would it be?
SARAH: Banksy. Turn our surreal politics into art.
SCREEN: What's your guilty pleasure TV?
SARAH: Endlessly rewatching THE OFFICE & BROOKLYN 99, balanced with some true crime.
SCREEN: What are you looking forward to in 2020?
SARAH: I’m looking forward to unjustifiable optimism winning out this year.
SCREEN: Best advice you've ever been given?
SARAH: I learned from Lisa Bennett (now CCO at Laughlin Constable) to approach any situation by asking yourself, “What do you want to have happen?” then act accordingly.
My mom gave me the best parenting advice, “Never pick a battle you’re not prepared to win.”
