One at Optimus, the production arm of production and post house Optimus, today announced that Mary Ann Holecek has taken the reins as executive producer/managing director and Damian Huck has been hired as executive producer.
“Mary Ann is an accomplished and seasoned professional, and we are lucky to have her leading our team at ONE,” said Optimus President Tom Duff. “Her credibility and respect in our world is second to none. Damian is at the top of his game, and we are fortunate to have someone with his smarts and experience – from major motion pictures and television to commercials.”
For the past eight years, Holecek has freelanced at Energy BBDO, FCB, Rhea and Kaiser, SPM Marketing, The Escape Pod, Upshot and Walton Isaacson on accounts including Budweiser, Can-Am, Cracker Barrel, Fiat Chrysler, JC Penney, Kmart, McDonald’s, Safeway, Stella Artois, Toys “R” Us, and Wheat Thins. She has worked with directors such as Kathryn Bigelow, Simon Cole, Fred Goss, Brad Paisley and Hank Perlman, to name a few. In 1994, she began her career at DDB Chicago, where she stayed for 16 years, doing virtually every possible production job.
“Having known Optimus since I started in the business, I was thrilled when Tom approached me regarding this role,” said Holecek. “It is such an exciting time in the industry and at ONE. Agencies are being tasked to deliver top-notch production with limited budgets. ONE’s goal is to make that possible by partnering with agencies in all capacities while making beautiful film and delivering award-winning work.”
A 2005 graduate from Columbia College, Huck has been freelance producing for the past 12 years, partnering with agencies such as DDB, Digitas, Edelman, Energy BBDO, Havas, JWT, Leo Burnett, McGarry Bowen, Saatchi & Saatchi and more. He has produced for clients including Adidas, Apple, Chevrolet, Footlocker, General Mills, Humans, Kellogg’s, Kraft, Nike, Payless, and Toyota, among others.
“Making the full-time move to ONE is an excellent opportunity to continue working with its incredibly talented roster of directors and editors," said Huck. "I’m looking forward to elevating ONE even further so that when clients and agencies want to create something they are passionate about, we will be at the top of their list.”
