Periscope Adds Editor Dean Gonzalez

Periscope Post & Audio has brought on editor Dean Gonzalez as their new Senior Editor. Gonzalez, an award-winning editor brings nearly two decades of industry experience in commercial, music video and feature film editing to Periscope.

Born and raised in Chicago, Gonzalez moved to Los Angeles in ’92 to begin his editing career. While living in LA, Gonzalez established himself as a versatile music video editor, working with artists including Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, NAS, LL Cool J, Kid Rock and Nicki Minaj. Being recognized for his work, Gonzalez joined 30 Seconds to Mars on tour in North America to edit their music video “Closer to the Edge;” with the success of that video the band asked him to join them again the following year to cut their video “This is war” while on tour in Europe.

“I am excited to be joining the team at Periscope," Gonzalez said. "I have worked on a few projects with them in the past and they always delivered top quality work. Now to be part of Periscope and working with the whole team, I can say we are going to do some great things.”

Gonzalez has had an amazing career outside of LA and not just cutting music videos. Some of his other work includes the 2015 Green Day documentary “Heart Like a Hand Grenade,” “The Tale of Four” directed by Gabourey Sidibe, the documentary Pearl Jam: "Let’s Play Two", and an upcoming Horror film that he just finish cutting that is finishing their audio work at Periscope. When Gonzalez isn’t working with high profile films and doc’s he is deep in the works with top commercial clients such as Reebok, Nike, Bose, J. Crew, Michelob Ultra, McDonald’s and Kohls."
