ROGERS PARK World Premiere Set for October 19th

One of more than 150 films on the big screen at the 53rd Chicago International Film Festival's is the hyperlocal, universally relevant ROGERS PARK, making its world premiere on Thursday, October 19.
Directed by Independent Spirit Award nominee Kyle Henry (Room, a Sundance Film Festival official selection), ROGERS PARK follows two interracial couples through one harrowing year in Chicago's northside neighborhood known for its diversity and community. Starring icons of the Chicago film and theater scene, the story was written by Carlos Treviño over the course of several years and multiple table reads and workshops. The resulting ensemble drama is imbued with an organic narrative that explores the ties that bind us and the forces that threaten to tear us about.
