October's Aldi Vid Honored

A documentary-style video crafted by Chicago-based October Production + Post has been honored by the Web Marketing Association’s Internet Advertising Competition (IAC).
Created for Aldi, "Mona" was selected as IAC's Best Employment Online Video. It follows Mona Goehrke, a district manager with Aldi - Batavia, as she works out, visits stores and lives her life.
It's only one of 16 documentary style videos October has made for Aldi.
“It's been fun," says Chris DeWinter, October's executive producer. “each video was an opportunity to tell a real story, to shoot real people and to use an arsenal of production toys”
The campaign is part of Aldi's effort to showcase their values as a company to offer high quality, organic food to their customers while maintaining a commitment to helping their employees live their best possible lives.
“Aldi is committing considerable resources to realign the look, feel and perspective, especially in the Midwest, that they’re simply a discount grocer,” DeWinter says. “They have great food and snacks for you and your family that doesn’t contain preservatives or artificial dyes, its been said they're actually more organic than Whole Foods, and they’re also a great place to work. The great place to work is really a reflection of the great people that they hire; we were happy to be a part of telling the stories of some truly amazing folks.“
