The Stork Visits McDonald’s

New work from Burrell for McDonald’s, “New Arrival” is directed by Joe Pytka: it advertises free Wi-Fi at participating McDonald’s while promoting the African-American culture and the 365black.com Website.

It’s a heartfelt story about Mr. Jones, who with the assistance of a friendly employee meets his grandson for the first time via the complimentary Wi-Fi network at his local McDonald’s. A voiceover narrates, “Our signal is strong and deeply rooted in the community,” as the grandfather proudly shows off his third generation namesake, and grandson from his tablet computer.

Post production on the spot was handled through Chicago-based integrated media company Utopic and editor Tim Kloehn. Finish was handled by Ryan Gilbert.
