Chicago-based post house Hootenanny has promoted Sean Halvorsen to editor. Halvorsen, who has been with the post house since 2008 in the role of assistant editor, has recently completed work for clients Draftfcb, Leo Burnett, EnergyBBDO, and Alpine Bank.
“I’m excited for the coming year,” says Halvorsen. “I look forward to bringing my particular brand of humor to the Chicago market.”
Halvorsen has been the editor and writer behind many of the “Hootenanny Friday Shorts”, as well as being the prime actor in many of them.
Partner and FX Artist at Hootenanny, Jim Annerino says: “Sean not only brings great creativity to a project, but is impeccable in his handling of a job. The qualities that made him an excellent assistant will serve him well as he moves into the editor’s seat.”

Halvorsen joins the ranks of Liz Tate, Jerem Sloan, and Graham Metzger in the editorial creative department at Hootenanny.
Halvorsen will be produced by Executive Producer Don Avila.
